Overcoming Adversity & Talking About Race with Rachel Tran
Show Notes

Our nation is on fire.  People are hurting.  Let's talk about it.

Rachel Tran is a biracial mama of 4, homeschooling pro, patron saint of baby-wearing, and fierce advocate for her kids.  She breezes through the stories of how 3 of her kids have had life-threatening medical diagnoses and how each of those whirlwinds have made her into the mama she is today.

While she could likely teach us a lot of things, today she's sharing what she feels is her biggest FAIL to date - not having had a conversation with her kids about race.

She's so humble & speaks from her heart as she shares the question her child asked this weekend that broke her heart, "But what color is MY skin, mom?" We chat about where to start when you're overwhelmed, that it's okay to not have all the answers, and how to move forward once the protests end.
