Failing Motherhood

15. Career Mom with Jenny Elliott

Danielle Bettmann | Wholeheartedly Episode 15

Prior to becoming a mom, Jenny Elliott spent over a decade in Corporate America at a Fortune 100 company.

She kept working after becoming a mom.

THE HORROR!!!!

Kidding of course.

But boy did she doubt herself.  Plus, it's just not that easy.  Feeling unprepared for motherhood, Jenny's transition back to work was rocky at best and she experienced an identity crisis when realizing work/life balance doesn't exist.

Feeling like both a failure at work and at home heaped on the mom guilt.

She came to realize a big part of her identity was her career, and that's okay!

She shares the boundaries that have kept her sane in work-from-home COVID times, how she's endured her identity crisis, and the story behind creating her podcast, Career Mom.
